HAHN Gasfedern offers the marine industry exactly that: high-quality gas springs, dampers, and accessories that have been specially developed to withstand the rigors of the maritime environment. HAHN Gasfedern is the perfect partner for your demanding projects at sea, including large and heavy panels, floor or companionway hatches, storage spaces, sliding doors, or yacht furniture.

Product highlights for the high seas

HAHN gas springs are used wherever heavy hatches, doors, and panels need to be easily opened and securely closed. High-quality gas springs made of V4A (AISI 316) stainless steel form the heart of our solutions. These maintenance-free and corrosion-resistant gas springs with their smooth, highly polished surfaces are functional and impress with their timeless appearance. Since they can be individually adjusted in force and length, they are the ideal choice for a variety of on-board applications. At the same time, our gas springs blend harmoniously into the elegant design of yachts and combine functionality with aesthetics at the highest level. Of course, our fittings and connections are also made of stainless steel.

Keep hatches and panels securely shut

even in rough seas

Our gas pressure springs are outfitted with locking gas springs. They are used wherever hatches and panels need to be held securely in a fixed position. These gas springs provide essential safety, especially in rough seas, and prevent heavy components from opening or closing accidentally. Our tension gas springs and double-stroke gas springs provide even more versatility. These products offer additional features that are in particular demand in shipbuilding and also allow for the easy opening and secure closing of hatches and panels, even in heavy seas.

Open and close doors softly and safely

More and more ships are opting to install sliding doors out of considerations for space. Sliding doors are increasingly being used in ships and boats, both as entrance doors to the interior of the ship and in pieces of furniture, such as mess or wardrobe cabinets as well as for cabin dividers. Our Sliding Door Dampers (SDD) not only gently close, but they can also reliably hold the sliding doors in an open or closed position. They ensure cushioned docking, degressive braking, and gentle closing – even with heavy doors.
